Cosmetic tattoo ink

Existing brow / PMU ink

Existing shape and pigment can limit a new brow treatment. Adding pigment cannot make a dark tattoo lighter or a thick tattoo narrower. The studio needs to assess your current work and intended shape; laser removal may be recommended before new brows.

Body tattoos

Fading or removal

Discuss the tattoo’s colors, size, location, previous treatments, and your goal. Ask the team to explain expected intervals, costs, care, and limitations.

Planning your
laser visit.

General appointment guidance from the studio. Your medical provider decides the treatment plan.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

It can feel like quick snaps against the skin, and discomfort varies. Eyebrow removal is quick. Topical numbing is optional at $45; discuss comfort concerns with the treating provider.

Can I apply numbing cream before my visit?

Do not apply numbing cream at home before your laser appointment. Ask the studio about its optional topical numbing and current preparation instructions.

How long should I allow for the appointment?

Allow 30 minutes to one hour, including preparation and consultation. Your tattoo is assessed before treatment.

How far apart are laser sessions?

Eyebrow and body tattoo-removal sessions are typically scheduled 8–12 weeks apart, depending on healing and response. The medical provider decides when the skin is ready. Timing for new permanent makeup after removal requires individual assessment.

Do I need to send photos before laser booking?

Photos are optional for laser tattoo removal; assessment takes place at the appointment. This is different from booking NEW brow work over an existing brow tattoo, which still requires clear full-face brow photos and studio review first.

Do you perform test spots?

Yes. Test spots are routine for laser tattoo removal at SIS & SIS. Contact the studio for details about your appointment.

Where do I get preparation and aftercare instructions?

Contact the studio for its current instructions before your visit. A website or chat cannot assess symptoms or provide a personal treatment plan. Text the studio

Laser technology

Understand the treatment.
Beyond the buzzwords.

We use a medical-grade, FDA-cleared Q-switched laser for tattoo removal.

Do I need a pico laser?

Not automatically. Q-switched nanosecond and picosecond lasers are both used for tattoo removal. The appropriate treatment depends on the ink, skin, device, settings, and professional assessment—not the technology name alone. Some comparative studies favor picosecond devices for particular tattoos; neither approach guarantees complete removal.

What is the difference between Q-switched and pico?

In this comparison, Q-switched refers to nanosecond pulses, while pico refers to picosecond pulses. Both deliver short pulses to target pigment. Wavelength and pulse duration are different characteristics; pulse duration alone does not tell you how deeply or successfully a tattoo will be treated.

What affects safety and results?

Ink colors, skin tone, tattoo location, device settings, and the treating professional’s assessment all matter. Discuss the risk of pigment changes, scarring, incomplete clearance, and the care required between sessions before treatment.

Is Q-switched Nd:YAG appropriate for darker skin?

It may be an option, but suitability must be assessed individually. Skin tone, wavelength, settings, and experience matter. Ask the treating professional about pigment-change risks and the approach for your skin.

How many sessions will I need?

A website cannot determine that for your tattoo. Ask for an assessment, expected intervals, costs, and realistic limitations. Fading and full removal are different goals, and complete clearance cannot be promised.
